Augusta county was in fact on the lower
Monongahela River in what is now West Va.However
boundaries changed alot in those days,so it could
have been Allegheny co at one time,or they may
have had to go there to register things.
There may have been 2 families involved here?There
is a Richard Elliott with Robert,John,William and
Lanty in the "Scotch-Irish colony"of Augusta co.Va
This family seems to have a colorful history...
would like to exchange info.
