According to the 1850, 1870, and 1880 census records that I have Catherine was married to John Dutcher, and went by the name "Catherine Elliot Dutcher", which leads me to think that perhaps her maiden name was Elliot. She was born 1818, and the census records are all from Dover Plains, Dutchess Cty., NY. They list her birthplace as "NY". Their children were Amelia, Mercy, Jennie, John, and Ruth. I have not been able to identify birth parents for her yet. If anyone has any possible info. about Catherine, or would just like to discuss family info. on the other people I have mentioned I would appreciate it. I do have some more info. about her husband and children as well if anyone is interested.
