Seeking_information_on_Willis_Elliot_(or_Elliott,_as_it_was_also_spelled).__He_was_born_circa_1819,_the_son_of_Mordicai_Elliot_of_Perquimans_County,_North_Carolina.__He_apparently_migrated_to_Ohio_(perhaps_in_or_around_Xenia_in_Greene_County),_where_he_married_Rhoda_(Scott?)_in_the_1840's.___According_to_the_1850_Census_for_Miami_County,_Indiana,_his_son_William_was_born_in_Ohio_circa_1845_and_his_son_Azro_was_born_circa_1847_in_Indiana.__In_1848-1849_he_and_Oliver_Macy_surveyed_the_land_of_the_settlement_which_was_then_named_Xenia_but_is_now_known_as_the_town_of_Converse,_Indiana.
