Hi,

James parents were Nehemiah Covington Ellingsworth and Polly Beard Workman. Theres documentation that James brother was killed by his brother in law Jake who was abusing his wife (James and Josiah's sister Alice). His brother Josiah was married to a Maria Brewington.

Information I've collected shows that James was bn abt. 1812 died abt. 1867, also noted that he was married to Elizabeth Estis and a Green. Father Nehemiah Covington Ellingsworth and Polly Beard Workman. I descend from Nehemiah and Sally Workman Polly's sister.

Children of James and Elizabeth were:

Margaret Ellingsworth md Thomas Williams
Joshiah bn abt. 1841
Martha md W. N. Tucker
James bn aft. 1830
Elizabeth (Died Young) bn aft. 1830 died bef. 1835
William md Mariah.

I have a note that they moved to IL in 1833 and Moved to MO in 1837. My family had also moved to IL, most stayed there. Their is a page in the Henry County History Books about the Ellingsworth's. They were very prominent farmers in Illinois.

Thanks,

Terry
