Fergus Falls Daily Journal 7/2/1940 Pg 3 "A.V. ELLINGSTON BODY IS FOUND - Funeral of Fargo Man will Be Held at Wendell - Fargo, July 2 - The body of Albert V. Ellingson, 46, Fargo was taken Sunday from the Red River near Fifth street north, Moorhead. He had been missing since early Friday when Mrs. Ellingson notified Fargo police he had disappeared from home and she feared for his safety. He had been in ill health and despondent.
Dr. F.C. Soper, of Dilworth, Clay county coroner, declared Ellingson took his own life. No inquest will be held. The drowning apparently occurred Friday, Dr. Soper said.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Wendell, Rev. Mr. Sorenson officiating, and burial will be in the Wendell cemetery."
