Thanks John for your quick reply. I noticed that the Partridge family came in with Susan as well, but I assume there were a certain amount of cousins marrying or neighbours intermarrying with more that one member of the family. ie. two brothers, Thomas and Jesse Ellingham marry two sisters Sarah and Ann Dockerill. This is true also today. My two brothers married two sisters. This has happened three or four times in the family tree. I question if Ephraim Ellingham was a part of the line as often names were given as namesakes and we do have an Ephraim Partridge, but of course it could just be a popular name of the times. I yearn to return to England to do this research. I was over there in 1970 but at the time didn't actively do genealogy. I did travel to the home where my father was born and saw the Holy Trinity Church in Tilsworth where so many memorials were displaying the family name. I also visited Luton as I was staying with a Great Uncle who lived in Dunstable. My fathers cousins now live in Eaton Bray. I have always been interested, but as with most people didn't start looking seriously until I lost my parents. Any help I can give you I will. Please keep in touch. Thanks. Hugs Judith
