Hi, we are probably related along the way. My Allaire/Heroux family came down from Trois River in Canada. If you check the Heroux family website, you will find a wealth of information on that side that may also help on the Allaire side. The town in VT where they settled was Sandusky. Unfortunately, it no longer exists. Pierre and Marie Allaire had Jospeph b.1826 in Canada... who married Elmyra (Emerline) LaPlante in 1852 in VT. They moved to New Braintree MA with his brother John and their large families. Joseph and his wife had the following children: Wilfred 1850, Joseph 1851, Alexander 1855, Almira, 1857, John 1859, Augustus 1860 and Ovelia 1863.
John and Mercy's family: Flora, Emma, John, Maria, Mary, Dilanna, Francis.Eva Heroux married Augustus Elleryin 1883 in N. Brookfield, MA. I actually have a photo of Augustus holding my dad as a baby in 1922. The name was changed to Ellery in the 1865 census of New Braintree.
There should be a link somewhere in there. Pierre and Marie may have had more than one child...I just couldn't find it.
