HI, I too am from an Ellery (Allaire) family from Canada. This is what I have found so far: Augustus Ellery (anglocized in 1860 census New Braintree, MA), my gr. grandfather b.1860 MA to Joseph Alaire b.1826 and Almira LaPlante b. 1826 Canada. There were also names of Allen and Rice (Ellery means Allen of Rice)in our family. Hope it helps.
