To all readers,
I understand that the book The Ellerbe Family History by Ronald William Ellerbe is out of print. Does anyone know how I can purchase a copy?
My family is the Polsons (Poulsons) from Chesterfield County, SC. I did not grow up in Chesterfield and most of my family information comes from the South Carolina Department of Archives and History and the South Caroliniana Library.
I have a copy of a land deed from Chesterfield County that is dated 1848 and in it, it states that Clement Wallace, Margaret A. Ellerbe and Eliza A. Ellerbe(Margueritte from Ron's book)sold 500 acres of land to my great great grandfather.
Ron's book informed me that Clement Wallace raised Margueritte and Eliza after his marriage to their mother, Rebecca Ann Ellerbe. I was very thrilled to get this information. I also learned that Clement was a doctor. I went to the South Caroliniana Library and read some more of the book and realized that I wanted my own copy.
