I don’t have any information on the Norton family, or on the Ingalls or Brooks, either, but your Daniel may be the half-brother of Benjamin Tuck Ellenwood and probably was at least related to Daniel and Benjamin T.
If you haven’t already done so you ought to look at the book “Our Ellenwood Clan”, by Nellie Gard (see library listing below). Various libraries around the country have this work. If you don’t live near a library that has it you may be able to borrow it on interlibrary loan through your local library. I don’t know if the Nortons, Ingalls, and Brooks are included in “Our Ellenwood Clan” but they very well might be, since It has a lot of info about families related to the Ellenwoods. I remember that there is quite a bit on the Tilton family in it. Here is the library listing for “Our Ellenwood Clan.”
