I am very interested in the research you are doing as my grandmother was Katalin Ellenberger from Kaposvar, Hungary which is the district or county of Esecy (I'm not sure of the spelling). It looks to me like you are on the right track.Although my grandparents lived in Hungary they were of Germanic backgroud although I am not sure where in Germany they came from.Katalin Ellenberger's husband was George Mechvart. My grandfather came to Michigan in the 1920's and worked on what I believe was the Michigan Central Railroad. My grandmother followed years later with their son named George as well. The eventually settled in southern Ontario and were tobacco farmers. My grandmother's brother, Henry Ellenberger, and his wife, Elizabeth Heiczereder, came to southern Ontario I believe in the late 40's or early 50's, I'm not sure.I don't know of any other Ellenbergers who are related to me although I think there might be some Ellenbergers in or around Tillsonbur, Ontario.I will watch for your further developments.I have the original trunk and passports of my grandparents!
