I realize most of you are connected to the PA Ellenbergers.
I though am back to about 1810 in Ecseny, Somogy, Hungary on my related Ellenbergers. They were Donauschwaben immigrants. The family is believed to originate in Austria or Germany in the 1700's and immigrated down the Danube River to Tolna, Somogy or Baranya County in Hungary.
They then immigrated about 1886 to 1895 to Hrastovac, Poszega, Austro-Hungaria (prior to 1914)which is now Croatia. They then immigrated to Windsor and Harrow, Ontario, Canada in 1938 and 1955 (2 different families).
I am reading the church records for Ecseny, Hungary in the early 1800's.
I am working on my massive worldwide research website which I will have my Ellenbergers on also.
Incidentally, my LOTZ and OCHSZ lines from Hrastovac, Yugoslavia (Croatia) went to Pittsburg, PA before moving onto Milwaukee, WI and then Peoria, IL.
If anyone has any questions, just email me direct.
