My husband is Daniel Bruckart, son of Margery Jane (born Ellenberger 3/13/1931) Kauffman. Margery was adopted in 1934 by Charles and Elsie (Appler) Kauffman. Margery's biological mother was Margaret Jane Ellenberger, the daughter of William John and Erma Belle (Appler) Ellenberger. Erma and Elsie were sisters, and William was the son of Simon Peter Ellenberger. Margaret Jane Ellenberger died in 1961.
This is information we have only recently discovered, and would like to contact anyone who may have more information regarding Margery's adoption by the Kauffmans, and her Ellenberger family connection. Thank you.
