My ancestor was George Ellenberger wed 1799 to Elizabeth Hilpart/Hilbert in New Hanover, Montgonery Co., Pa. This family moved to Napier Twp., Bedford Co., PA about 1810. George died in 1846 and is buried in the Schellsburg Cemetery, Bedford Co., PA. I am related to George as follows:
son = Jacob Ellenberger wed Maria Burger
grandson = John Ellenberger wed Juliana Wyand
g-grandson = Calvin S. Ellenberger (1863-1948 wed Della Black (all the above are buried in the Schellsburg Cem.)
gg-grand daughter = Mae Elizabeth (1900-1995)Ellenberger wed Irvin Cassidy
ggg-grandson = Clair Fern Cassidy (1921-1996)wed Ethel Boxler
gggg-grandson = Raymond "Rick" Cassidy born 1950 wed Darlene Miterko
There was a John Ellenberger that was married in the same church the same year the George & Elizabeth were married in 1799. He may have been George's brother but I have no proof. Your Charels may have been another brother. My George also have the following sons other that Jacob: John, Henry, Charles, Michael, & Peter.
