I am a descendant of the Ellegood's of Virginia, specifically Jacob Ellegood, who came to Canada in the 1760's to New Brunswick, on land granted from the King re his loss of Rose Hall following the war.
My youngest son, now 20, is named Jacob as well. We still have title to some small part of the original grant of land in New Brunswick.
We are living in Calgary, my having moved out west in 1966 following Unicersity. We have obtained quite alot of information in searching the family tree, mostly received from relatives now living in Boston,Mass.
I have also located cousins in Denver, but the majority of the Canadian Ellegoods are in New Brunswick
