Hi Ashley, I am still searching for my line. I suspect it may come through Enoch or Ezekial or Zachariah. Did any of them have a son named Zachariah? I asked you some time ago about one John G. Elkin, b. Clarke County 1799. I have since eliminated him as the father of my Zachariah, although he may be an uncle. There was another Zachariah living on adjacent land to John G. - both were homesteaded ca. 1826. So I have to wonder if this Zachariah is Robert's son? Unless that son died in KY. It's all very confusing. Here are the facts. My Zach is Zachariah William Elkin, b. ca. 1826 in MO. He married Nancy Jane Peacher in 1848 in Howard Co. MO and they went west to CO in about 1860. The farms of John G Elkins, Zachariah Elkin, and Rueben Peacher (Nancy Jane's father) were all within the same vicinity, or even bordering one another. So I have to suspect that MY Zach was somehow related to these other two. As I said, I have eliminated him as a son of John G. although he may have been a nephew or something. I cannot find record of who the neighboring Zachariah was - no wife's name. When he does show up in MO it's before 1850, and no other family names are there. Any ideas you may have would be most appreciated. Susan
