Dear Ms. Cline,

Thank you for responding to my query about David Elkins. I simply don't know if this is the same man or not. Elkins is certainly not what I consider a "local" name here in Stafford. His name appeared in the Stafford militia records in 1824 and I was hoping someone might be able to tell me a little about him. I've not come across him in the land or personal tax records so my guess is that he either died or moved on. Quite a few folks moved through Stafford, went south into the Carolinas, then west to Kentucky, Ohio, and elsewhere.
