My grandmother was born Ernestine Elizalde. She was from El Paso, Texas and was most likely born there. I believe she had brothers named Pedro and "'Tacho" (nickname, I don't know if I'm spelling it right, possibly short for Anastacio?) and a cousin named Dorothy. I'm pretty sure she had more siblings, but not all of them survived and those are the two I remember. Other things my grandmother told me:
- she was part Spanish, French and Irish
- her family were once wealthy land owners that later rode with Pancho Villa
- one of her brothers was an actor that appeared in movies with Rudolph Valentino
- her cousin (or other female relative) studied to become a bishop but was denied because she was a woman

I don't know if all of those are true, but I would like to learn more. Later, my grandmother married my grandfather, Peter Molina, who was originally from the Philippines. They settled in the Los Angeles area and had 9 children and too many grandchildren and great grandchildren to count! If any of the above sounds familiar to you, please contact me!
