Dear Caroline,
Have just received your letter about the ELEY family.Do you happen to know your grandmother(Madge)fathers name. His name would appear either on a birth certificate or marriage certificate. It would help if I knew his name as there were quite a few ELEY brothers in and around CARDIFF.My grandfather was also a coal trimmer. This is a proffession that seemed to run in the family.I know that there was an EVAN ELEY who lived in MARGAM in 1881 and his wife was MARGARET.He was a coal miner. His father was DAVID ELEY.
Let me know if any of this is relevant as I have more information about this family.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Sylvia
