According to my notes the Eli ELEY (c1706-c1745) who was a brother of John ELEY was deceased at the time of this marriage. The Eli ELEY, bondsman of this marriage was probably the first Eli's son, Eli ELEY (1739 VA-1812 Logan Co. KY).

John ELEY's daughter, Rebecca ELEY (1741-1788) was married to William DENNISON (1732-1781). Was it this Rebecca ELEY DENNISON, widow of William DENNISON, to whom you are referring?

These families resided in Franklin Co. NC.
