Obadiah Eldrige name has come up in my search for Sarah Wilson (1724-1802) who married Jonathan Braman (1722-1760) all of the Burlington Co., NJ area.
In the will of Abraham Wilson dtd 24 Jun 1795, he mentions his sister "Sarah Brayman", so I think this may be the brother of the Sarah I seek.
He also mention several nephews and nieces. Among them is Obadiah Eldrige and Abraham Wilson Eldrige. So I conclude that a Wilson sister married a Eldrige.
The will of Abraham Eldrege dtd 9 Jul 1788 mentions his sons Obadiah, John and Wilson. This would appear to be the brother-in-law and father of the nephews mentioned in Abraham Wilson's will.
On 17 Dec 1789, Obadiah and John Eldridge of Nottingham Township, Burlington Co. Wards. Sons of Abraham Eldridge, deceased, ...make choice of ther mother, Amy Eldridge, as their Guardian.
This Amy Eldrige must be Amy Wilson, sister of Abraham Wilson.
I am trying to build a file on these colateral families to further my direct line and any help would be appreciated.
