Hi, my grandfather was Kendrick Eldridge he married Mary Maxie/Maxey. They lived in Elliott County Ky, upon her death about 1928-1930 he married a Maggie, surname could have been Maxie/Maxey, Sloas, or Collier? I think my grandfather must have had another name like (first or middle) Obadieh. I did find out he was born in OHIO, where? I have very little info on my mother's parents. Do you have any info concerning the Eldridge parents of two children in KY that died and the children being sent to live with their aunt or grandmother in TENN? I'm interested in learning more about them. The name Sooky sounds familiar for some reason. I've heard almost every name that I've come across connected to the Eldridge's and Maxie's at some time when I was a child, from my aunts and uncles and mother. I wish I could remember more than I do. My mother's name was Sinda Eldridge-Collier-Sloas-Maxie. I am a daughter of Sinda and Milton Sloas, my parents and grandparents are all deceased. Almost all my aunts and uncles, maybe one or two left and I hope to see one aunt this summer if she is still alive. I know I have Cherokee Indian in my bloodline. I am pretty sure on both my mother's side, and my father's mother side Adkins. Mostly, ELDRIDGE and Maxie. Got to go. Bye, Martie
