Hi Lester,
Daniel's brother Alfred was my great grandfather. His son, William Thomas Eldridge I never knew. He had my father when he was 60 and died 8 years later. I have been to the cemetary in Independence, TX where Mildred Eldridge, wife of Bolling; John Caleb Eldridge (brother of Daniel) and wife Amanda F. Turner;Henry B. Eldridge(brother of Daniel and wife Sarah L. Hall and an uncle, J.B. Eldridge are buried.
How exciting to have lived in the Bolling Eldridge house. There was an article in the magazine, Early American Life, which shows the renovations. It is a beautiful house.
