The ancestor of Joshua Eldridge may have been Jonathan Eldridge that came to US on the ship "Success" 1678/79 Salem CO. NJ, married Martha Wagstaff 1681, moved to (land-owner)Bucks Co, PA. I believe he had at least 3 sons, a Jonathan (may have married twice a Mary and an Abigail), James in Chester Co PA, and Obediah and at least one daughter Hannah that married Joseph Allen 1750 Shrewsburg, Salem Co, NJ. I think James or Jonathan or their sons may have moved into VA and their offsprings moved into eastern KY. Hope this helps you in some way, at least gives you areas to search in. Let me know if it helps. I'm trying to connect in that area, too. Tried to connect to Pochontas, but dates didn't work out. The above James may have moved to Sumner Co, Tenn.
