Charles Preston Eldridge and his wife Lula Mann married and lived in Richmond, VA all of their married lives, raising two sons, Cornelius Johnson Eldridge and Charles Preston Eldridge, Jr.

In one census Charles give his birthplace as PA in another he gives VA. His wife was the niece of the last Governor in VA to have CSA service, so we discount the LDS chart of Eldridges in Salem, NJ; however, of this family in the middle 1800's, one son is named Preston and another Charles, so they could be uncles.

Does anyone have the names Preston or Charles as ancestral names?
