This is very interesting information. I talked to my uncle yesterday at a Jones family reunion and he said he thought that his greatgrandfather's name was Samuel. He did know that they lived in the town of Meadow. He said there is an Eldridge cemetary there. I need to go check it out. Do you live in NC and if so are you close to Johnston or Sampson Co.? We will be having an Eldridge family reunion some time in November. If you would be interested I'll find out exactly when. It use to be held in Benson years ago, but now it is at a church near Faison. Why didn't I use the opportunities to talk to the old people before they passed away!
