Wish I could help you with that one, but I can't. My James Eldridge was in Lawrence CO, KY 1870 census with his wife Elizabeth Smith and some of their children. Their ages put them as being born about 1840 and 1845. His brother John and fanily were there too. Tehn, they must have moved back to Morgan CO, KY. As he is listed there with brother Jesse and I think his father JAMES or JESSE or JOSHUA. Most likely James. There are several James and Jesse's, so most likely he had first cousins there with same names. There was also a Jonathan Eldridge that came into Morgan Co. 1810, but no data on him until I found a Jonathan that married Polly Griffith 1839. Jonathan 1810 was not listed with anyone, so appears he came in alone and most likely 18 to 25 years old. Most of my Eldridge's are from Lawrence, Morgan, and Elliott Counties, KY from there supposed to be VA. But, I am working on tying into this Jonathan Eldridge that arrived on "Success", call it a gut feeling!
