My name is Kristy Newman Rochat from Knoxville, Knox CO,TN. I am related to the Eldridges through the Gardenhires and the Heatons on my mother's side of the family.
My ggg grandmother's sister was Alcey Pathkiller, daughter of a prominent Cherokee Indian Chief,Pathkiller. Alcey married a Taylor Eldridge among others. Taylor's father was Jesse Eldridge who married Elizabeth Gardenhire Jesse's father was Thomas Eldridge and he married a Catherine Taylor, Jesse's mother. This is not the only Eldridge marriage that the Gardenhires married into, either. I have come across some of Maxie families in some of my notes, too. So, I think that we are in the same family line. What does your book say about Taylor Eldridge? Does it have him in your book at all? I'd be interested in anything that you can send me on this branch of people that I have listed before in the Eldridge book of yours. Hope to hear from you soon.( I stem from Alcey's sister, Sarah Pathkiller, who married a James T. Gardenhire. They had a daughter, Sarah Emoline Gardenhire, who married Josiah Heaton. They were my third g grandparents on my mother's side.
