James Eldridge Saratoga Patent NY 1779

  of 2676

I am seeking genealogical data for the family of James Eldridge, who was a colonial tenant farmer in the Saratoga Patent, Albany County, NY.

The Saratoga Patenet included the present day towns of Saratoga and Stillwater in Saratoga and the towns of Easton and Greenwich in Washington County, NY.

In 1779, James Eldridge's farm was assessed at $10.00. (probably Spanish dollars)

James Eldridge's name appeared on the 1790 US Census Return for the Town of Cambridge, Albany County (now Washington County) NY.

James Eldridge's name appears on the list of those men who served in the 16th Regiment of the Albany County Militia. (See New York in the Revolution as Colony and State, at page 131)

James Eldridge served as a Tax Assessor in the Saratoga District of Albany County in 1779.

Are all these entires in the public record for the same man?

I really would like information on the date and place of birth and death for James Eldridge, farmer in the Saratoga Patent. The names and dates for his parents, his wife, his children and the people who married his children.

Thank you for your help.
