Elaine, we are probably related! My Eldridge familes are of Elliott and Morgan CO, KY, too. My mother was Sinda Eldridge-Sloas, her mother was Mary Maxie that married Kendrick Eldridge, his parents were Jim Eldridge and Elizabeth Smith-Eldridge. I am interested in a connection to that line, too. I am supposed to have a lot of cherokee in me from the Eldridge and Maxie lineages. The Eldridge's and Maxie's have definite Native American features. My thoughts have been in trying to make a connection somewhere into the Martha Bolling-Eldridge line. I would be interested in hearing or viewing any links you might have or have made. Do you have much information on the Eldridges of Elliott and Morgan Counties? I have been trying to find out (exactly) who were the parents of Jim Eldridge, his parents and great-grandparents. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
