Liz, here are a few names and dates I've come up with so far.
Abraham Eldridge b. 1844 m. Manerva b. 1845
Their son,
Crittenden Eldridge b. 1876 m. Annie Vernonb. 1884
Crit and Annie's children:
Green b. 3-1-1900 d. March 1958
Brownlow b. 4-25-1904 d. May 1987
Tyria (not sure of spelling) b. 1910 d. 1989
Henry b. 4-7-1914 d. June 1983 m. Mae Wooten b. 1919
Burt
Laura
Dosha
Also, I've learned that Crittenden was married to 4 other women after Annie, do not know if any children from those marriages.
All the above were born in and around Perry County, KY.
The above Henry Eldridge and Mae Wooten are my husband's grandparents.
Henry and Mae Eldridge eventually moved with their six children to Michigan, I think in the 1950's or 60's.
Henry Eldridge died in 1983 and was buried back in KY.
If my figuring is correct, you and my husband Lee are 3rd cousins.
Maybe between the two of us, we can get beyond Abraham Eldridge and also learn more about Manerva's family.
Barbara
