The Holden in your line is probably a cousin of my Holden. There were 3 possibly 4 Holden's that were born within a 10 year period. I have the same information leading up to Capt. John Eldred and Margaret Holden. I'm missing the two generations from Capt. John Eldred to John Eldridge who moved to Whitehall, Washington County, NY around 1800. Both sons, William and Holden were born in N.Kingston, Rhode Island and there is an account in the Boston Transcript supporting this information.
I do have penson records for Holden Eldridge who served in the Swift's and Dobbin's Reg't, New York Volunteers, War of 1812. I had hoped it was my Holden, but turned out to be the one in your line. If you don't have these and would like them, eMail me at email@example.com and send me your snail mail address.
Thanks for the info!
