Canada, laborer It appears that John P. may have married a second time. The 1880 census for Fremont, Sandusky Co., OH shows: John P. Elderkin, 65, b. NY, father b. CT, mother b. CT, occupation architect Isabelle Elderkin, wife, 30, b. Canada, father b. Scotland, mother b. Scotland, occupation keeps house Also in Fremont, Sandusky Co. in 1880 were a John P. and James K. (the latter living in his brother John P.'s household) whom I take to be the sons of the senior John P.: John P. Elderkin, 38, b. OH, father b. NY, mother b. NY, occupation clerk Lucy A. Elderkin, wife, 29, b. OH, father b. NY, mother b. NY, occupation keeps house Nellie H. Elderkin, 9, dtr., b. OH, father b. OH, mother b. OH Lizzie B. Elderkin, 7, dtr., b. OH, father b. OH, mother b. OH Alfred R. Elderkin, son, 5, b. OH, father b. OH, mother b. OH James K. Elderkin, brother, 32, b. OH, father b. OH, mother b.
