Dr. Vine Elderkin, from Madison Co., was the first physician at Ashville- had ch.- Harriet, Ca 1822 from census is 48 in 1870 Panama Mary, is then 39 Henry, 38 all UNMARRIED and Jan md WicKham Hatfield (according to early History of this co, but does not exist here)
by 1880 Henry ELDERKIN is finally married to LETTIE, age 24, he is now about 42 ages are off in census they have a son age 2 H. VERNON Elderkin 20 yrs later he lived with sisters again, Harriet b June 1827 age 72 and Mary March 1831 Henry was b Oct 1837 and also in house HATFIELD Nephew ALTON divorced ae 35 and his son FLOYD Hatfield 12 Henry is still married but no wife here;
