Hello!
Looking for information on my great great great grandmother and my step great great great grandfather.
John Elder born in 1849 in Union County, MS married my ggg grandmother Becky Roberts Garling in 1878. She was the widow of Sam Garling and she had two children with Sam before he died during the civil war. Their names were Sam and William Riley.
John was 8 years younger than his wife. I have them listed as living in Keownville, Union County in 1880,1900,1910. John was listed as widowed in the 1920 census in Union county. Rumor has it that Becky was blind and she was shot and killed by John and he was never charged. Does anyone have anymore information on these people? I am in need of their birth and death dates as I only have the year that they were born. Thanks for your help
