Yes I am familar with the Elder nieghborhood in New Portland Maine I was born in a farm house less than a half a mile from the Elder home site and still live in the neighborhood the celler hole and stone foundation is still accessible from the middle road where I live . I would be glad to share what I know about the family, I am going to meet with a Mr Clyde Elder who says his ancestor also came from New Portland, I am Bertrand Dyer 455 Middle Road North New Portland Me 04961 207 628 6569 or 207 628 3461..
