Marking of battle of Major Samuel capturing 3 British Ships
Posted by: James Wilson (ID *****8527) Date: August 28, 2004 at 16:45:34

Sirs/Ladies:

I am seeking descendants of General Samuel Elbert for the purpose of notifying them of the marking of the great battle of Major Samuel Elbert where he captured 3 British Ships. The location will be at Fort Frederica on St. Simons Island, April 19th, 2004.

It is the desire of the Marshes of the Glenn Chapter Sons of the American Revolution to identify as many descendants of General Samuel Elbert (then he was a Major) to send them announcements of the Historic Marking of the Site.

If you desire more information please e-mail me at
dlwilson@elberton.net

Thank you,
James Larry Wilson
Samuel Elbert Chapter
Sons of the American Revolution
Elberton, Georgia
