My Husband has just been diagnosed with his second Blood Clot (in his legs) in 10 months we have seen a Dr. and a Hemotoligist who both believe the cause to be genetic and they have tested him for everything they can and have come up empty. His grandmother's family on his fathers side (Moore)(mostly the women) have had clotting problems mostly during pregnancy.
He is now on Blood thinners for the rest of his life he is 31. We were told that at this current stage of genetic testings they cant find the cause and to check back with the hemotologists every now and then to see if there is anything new to test for, and that one of the main factors in Blood Clot disorders was not found until the mid 1990's.
They also say that these disorders can vary from sibling to sibling.
My Husband has no direct siblings that we can test and our children are too young and because they cant find it in my husband they probably wont find anything in our kids.
I am hoping to put this out there and see if any "Moore" "Elam" "Webb" and possibly any "Wagner" cousins have had problems with this and maybe we can find a link to something or just talk.
