I saw a few of your messages on genealogy.com Ekiss page. My mother was
an Ekiss from central Illinois (Decatur area). We know her father's name
and birth and grandfather's name but no place of birth or earlier line.
We know nothing of the family's origins. We know some of the Ekisses
went to Canada to get farm land around Alberta; some stayed and some
returned to Illinois. If you're interested in what little I have I would
be glad to share.
Mother - Eleanor Jane Ekiss b. 4/29/1923 Bethany, IL
Uncle - Robert Wayne Ekiss b. 1918 Bethany, IL
Grandfather - Thomas Ekiss b. 1/1/1886 d. 3/1973 Bethany, IL m. Mary Ellen Heneberry
Great Uncles - Arthur James Ekiss, Frank Ekiss, Dan Ekiss
Great Grandfather - Samuel Ekiss b. ? d. ? m. ?
