If I did not give the source for Peter & Barbara, it is the death record of Hester (Ekis) Wilson.
I'm looking for the parentage of Henry Wilson (her husband). I suspect he is a son or grandson of a Thomas Wilson who married an Anna Hochwaerter in Frederick, MD.
Thomas assumed guardianship in about 1807 for a short period for William and Catherine Cox (children of Henry/Heinrich Cocks) who were transported to Randolph by their mother and stepfather, Daniel Auvil (Oval, Abel, etc.) in about 1803-5. The evidence is strong for their mother, Daniel's wife, being a sister to Thomas' wife, thus the guardianship could make sense. I suspect Thomas & his wife had several children, but the records are very limited because it appears the children moved on west -- and we had three other Wilson brothers (from Hampshire/Hardy counties) among the earliest settlers of Randolph (and thus Barbour) county to confuse sorting out the Wilsons.
Thanks for any hints.
Nick
