I came across this page in my search for the parents to my great-great-great grandfarther Joseph Abraham Eisner born 1803. He immigrated to Denmark possibly about 1825. His profession was joiner. He died very young in 1840 leaving wife and 4 children.
Rumours in my family says he was jewish and came from Austria / Galizia or maybe the southern part of Germany.
Can you or anyone give me a hint about Joseph Abraham?
I can inform you, that the present Eisner family in Denmark is very small. Less than 100 persons among 5.5 million danes have that surname.
