Eisele maybe Yeisley?

Does anyone know of a connection between the Yeisley and the Eisele last names? I suspect my ancestor's name was misspelled on the ship's records and am now told that maybe it was supposed be Eisele. It makes sense, but I don't know how to make a connection for sure. My Nichlaus Yeisley came to America from the Palatines (Pfalz) Germany in the late 1700's.
