I have a Christian Eisel in my family - our records show he was born 29 Jul 1822 in Irmtraut, Germany to parents Joannes (probably Johan) Eisel and Margarithe Reuscher. They were married 13 Sep 1821 in Irmtraut.
A site I found today (http://www.regiomontanus.de/regiomontanus-dateie) says that the Eisel, Reuscher, Jung, Geis, and Quirnheim families emigrated from Irmtraut to the USA in the 1849-1854 time frame.
This Christian's younger sister, Katherine, became the second wife of Joseph Platzer, Sr., on 26 Oct 1858 in St. Michael's Catholic Church in Fryburg, Clarion, PA. They later settled in Carver Co., MN, and are my direct ancestors.
This may not be the same Christian as your ancestor, but let me know if any of this rings a bell.
