Hi! I am looking for information on Fred and Gertie Eiler. I believe they had at least two sons, John (born 1848)and Henry (born 1856). Fred's father may have been Wilhelm Eiler.
I believe they immigrated from Germany to Chicago around 1862. John and Henry left Chicago a few years later and settled in the Iowa area. A small branch from Henry and Augusta's family ended up in Canada and there is also extensive family in MN.
John married Rosina Hoffman, they had ten children -
Fredrick (Mary)
Maggie (George)
George
Emma
Henry (Eva)
John Harry (Lena & Louise)
Nellie (John)
Elizabeth/Lizzie (Henry)
August Earnest (Rosena)
Mary (Oscar)
Henry married Augusta Matilda Dreager,they had nine children -
John Gustav (Rose)
Wilhelm Rudolph Louis/William (Annie)
Bertha
August Bernard (Lula)
Matilda
Otto Edward (Pearl)
Charles A./Charlie (Helen)
Clara M. (Archie)
Paulina F./Lena (John & David)
I have extensive information on these families but I am at a loss when it comes to Fred and Gertie. I don't know what happened to them once they got to Chicago??? They would have been my 4th great grandparents.
Does anybody have any info that they could share with me on these families? I would love to be contacted by other family members!
