I see that your message is a couple years old, so I hope you get this message.

My father, Thomas J. Muir, served in the 751st Tank Batallion in Tunisia in 1943 and in Italy in 1944, including Anzio and a number of other battles that I found listed on his discharge paper, which I don't have in front of me, but could dig further to get more details if you want.

My dad died 10 years ago, but my mom is still living and I will ask her when I call her tonight if she knows of a J.W. Eiler...she is 92 and her memory is "selective" and the name is not familiar to me. My family is from Alliance, Ohio.

I occasionally try to find information about the 751st Battalion on the internet and this is the first time I have found anything mentioned! If you (or anyone reading this) has more info, I'd appreciate knowing more. Thanks. Mary-Lynn
