Eiffe and Hickey from Ireland

Searching for the origin of my gr gr grandparents, Thomas Hickey and Mary Eiffe. According to his death certificate, Thomas P. Hickey was the son of John Hickey and Alice Cassidy, probably born in the mid to late 1830's in Ireland. Mary E. Eiffe was the daughter of ? Eiffe and Catherine (maiden name not known), most records have Mary born around 1843 in Ireland. The 1870 US Federal census for Altoona, PA shows their eldest child, Patrick, having been born in Ireland around 1860. The next child, James is listed as 6 years old and being born in Pennsylvania. This suggests that the family immigrated between 1860 and 1864. On this same census is a Catherine Eiffe, aged 70, whom I believe to be Mary Eiffe Hickey's mother ( one of Thomas and Mary's children's death certificates lists their mother as Mary E. Effie(sic) ). All records indicate that they were Roman Catholic. Anyone seen a connection?
