My g-grandfather was Hermann Wilhelm Christian Eickhoff born 28 March 1852 at Balkum, near Osnabruk, Germany. He was the son of Ernest Heinrich Eickhoff and Anna Maria Lehebecke. He received his Emigration Certificate 26 March 1868. His passport to Amerika from his residence at Ueffelm at age 16 dated March 30, 1868. Besides his parents he left behind in Germany:
sisters - Anna Maria - m. Harmon Rovencamp,
Regina "Jane" - m.Chris Lensing, Lottie - m. unknown Helker,
brother - Heinrich "Harry" - m. Caroline Landweb
H.W.Christ Eickhoff may have come to US with a brother, Harmon born about Dec. 3, 1836. They settled in Ohio where I'm originally from.
We think Ernest H. Eickhoff's parents were Johann Conrad, born 1759 and Anna Maria Menken born 1777.
Any information would be appreciated.
