I have a Frederick Eichhorn that was born abt. 1845 in Germany according to the Medina Co., TX census. Some census records that I have found say that they were born in Saxony.

Caroline, Charles, William and Frederick came with their father Peter Eichhorn, mother unknown, when they were young children to Texas in 1846. Louis was born in Texas abt. 1849, mother unknown.

I have been unable to locate Frederick Eichhorn and his brother William, but have located the other 3 siblings Caroline "Lina", Charles and Louis.

Caroline married Louis Rummel and was last known to be in SanAntonio, Bexar Co., TX in 1890.

Charles married a Mary Josephine Lamon/Lanmon and their family was in Medina and Bexar County.

Louis married Adna Smith and was last known to be in/near Austin, Travis Co., Texas in 1880. I do not know where they went after that.

I do know that there were Eichhorns that came into the US through Louisiana in the early 1800s. There are some early Eichhorns in Missouri, and I sappose they are the ones that came from the Port in Louisianna. There are also some early Eichhorns that came in through the Northern ports as well, I think to Pennsylvania and that family seems to be fairly large today. Another Eichhorn family also shows up in the early 1800s in North Carolina.

If you think that there is a possible connection let me know.
