Sarah E. Eicher was b. 21 April 1838 Morgan Co., OH, d/o John Eicher and Nancy Davis. Sarah m. Joseph H. Brown 19 April 1857, Noble Co., OH. Known children born in OH were Henry (age 12 in 1870), John (age 10 in 1870) and Emily (age 8 in 1870). Sarah Eicher had a son James Taylor Eicher b. 6 Mar 1854 who was raised by his grandfather, John Eicher. James m. 26 Dec 1879, Noble Co., OH to Catharine Steen and lived around Zanesville, Muskingum Co., OH. James and Catharine had a son John Emmet b. 20 Feb 1880, Noble Co., OH births, Vol II, page 4. At the time of John Eicher's death in 1902, Sarah Eicher Brown was living in Casey, IA and James T. Eicher's address was not known. Sarah was mentioned in John Eicher's will but left nothing as John had taken care of James T. I am descended from Sarah's brother James McKindre Eicher, the youngest of the nine children.
