Well we found Rosa Lee Ehmann's birth record - I am sending for a copy of it - she was born in Northumberland, England. This means the picture in Switzerland may not be her at all, but another family member. I am currently waiting to hear from the Archives of the Swiss Guard to verify or disprove Benedict's service in the Swiss Guard. I have also found out that, in the 19th century, you had to be from one of the German speaking Roman Catholic cantons in Switzerland to be allowed into the Swiss Guard. At least I am zero-ing in on some information. Still, any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
